ST. James Hotel, Circa 1872

Cimarron, New Mexico

The landmark St. James Hotel project by Olive Architecture is a historic hotel addition and renovation in New Mexico located along the Sante Fe Trail and US Highway 64. The structure was a colonial Spanish style building constructed of stucco finished adobe masonry. The project included interior renovation of the bar and kitchen as well as a walled courtyard addition with open and covered outdoor dining.
Built in 1872, many famous people have stayed at the St. James over the years, including Wyatt Earp, Jesse James, Buffalo Bill Cody, Clay Allison, Black Jack Ketchum, Billy the Kid and Thomas James Wright. It is said that some of these spirits still haunt these halls today.
