The Anderson Residence addition and renovation exemplifies Olive Architecture’s expertise in historic preservation of the 1959, mid-century modern, organic style residence of Raleigh’s architect Owen Smith for the new owners. The design features a master and guestroom suite perched above the historic, curvilinear stone wall and being joined to the existing structure with a glass connector “hyphen” that becomes a light filled sitting room.
The property is a Wake County designated historic property and protected by the guidelines for historic preservation.
